"My Spiritual Retreat"

This picture was taken in Sedona Az., which I consider to be my spiritual retreat.Sedona was named after Sedona Schnebly who along with her husband came to the Sedona area in 1901. They were a Pennsylvania Dutch couple who purchased 80 acres of land there. Hoping to get a post office established.Theodore Schnebly submitted the name "Scnebly Station", but it was rejected as too long. His brother Ellsworth therefore suggested Theodore's wife's name which was Sedona, and it was accepted In 1902 the town was officially named Sedona. The red rocks of Sedona and the magnificent pinnacles created by mother nature bring thousands of visitors to Sedona each year as a spiritual retreat. Sedona is a work of art itself and a land of majestic beauty. There is plenty of opportunity to take inspirational pictures every time that I go there.I consider it my "Spiritual Retreat."
