Corporate Art Advice Art Blog
I want to add a postscript to my last blog about finding corporate art consultants. I completely neglected, shame on me, to recommend that you can also find consultants on the Internet. For example, if you Google ___corporate art consultants___ you will find a list of options from which to select. Some of these will be large consulting firms that are generally located in large cities like Chicago, Denver, New York, Los Angeles, etc. There will be listings of smaller firms in various locations all over the world, art advisers and appraisers, framers, professionals that conduct workshops and lectures. You may even stumble upon some sites that will sell you lists of art consultants at a cost that is generally around $75 - $100+. Unfortunately, you will need to go through each company listed in order to unearth what you are seeking.
As for Interior Designers, this is a group, as I mentioned earlier, that is organized and most of them have membership in the American Society of Interior Designers. Simply by going to www.i-d-d.com, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and select a listing of members by state. It__™s doesn__™t get any easier than that. But remember, not all interior designers are involved in art selection with their clients. You will need to contact them and make some inquiries. If they don__™t deal in art, don__™t forget to ask them if they work with a consultant and how you might contact them.
I know this whole exercise may feel like a daunting task, but it is something that can be done at your convenience__"like those times when that creative engine inside isn__™t working at full throttle and you need to have a sense of being productive. Working on your promotional game plan is important and what better time to do it than creative down time.
