Into the Blue
Based on interior of Antelope Slot Canyon, Page, AZ. This is watercolor and gouache on gesso. The light filters into the canyon from above, revealing the textures on the eroded canyon walls. The blue color is from the angle the light is filtering in and bouncing off the angles of the weathered rock wall. This is a close-up impression of one of these textures.
