View from the studio window

This is just one view from one of my studio windows. You can see why the garden both inspires and distracts me. Butterflies have been abundant on the lilacs. Our cat Hobbes get quite excited about them from a sunny spot on the window seat.

Sounds like you both deserved a vacation away from work. Although, work probably seems to follow.Did you get any sight seeing in New York and D.C.? We, as a family, went to D.C. for a weekend this past summer. There is a lot to see there. Hope you had fun!

very good stuff. Do you have an RSS feed? And would it be cool if I added your feed to a site of mine? I have a site that pulls content through RSS feeds from a few sites and I’d like to include yours, most folks don’t mind because I link back and everything but I like to get authorization first. Anyhow let me know if you can, thanks.

The lilacs are beautiful. I can almost smell them from here! I grew up in Michian and we always had lilac bushes. Unfortunately, I don't think I can grow them in Florida.

Thanks for sharing them!

HI Caroline. What a beautiful view.!! I love flowers, they are lovely. I am happy to have a lake to look at all day. It always changes, with each day I can see 2 swans and many geese and ducks swimming by. My studio is not always clean. I hate to paint in a messy place--so I try to keep it half way clean. Artists are like that, I guess. Millie
