Kristin McNelis About
Having lived in several states across the U.S. growing up I was able to experience a variety of artistic styles. I was always drawn to art events, artist communities and museums. Living in San Francisco I was able to experience art in the Haight Ashbury district and frequented the weekend street vendor tables at the street fairs in Marin County and in Berkley. Living in Sonoma and Napa counties I was able to enjoy art influenced by the beautiful wine country. Living in several cities throughout Arizona I was heavily exposed to Native American and Spanish art in wood, stone and metal. I spend a great deal of time in Jerome and Sedona, Arizona where the galleries are filled with unusual eclectic pieces. Living in the state of Texas I experienced both the western/cowboy styles and the more modern styles in cities such as Dallas. Now living in New England I'm able to enjoy a great variety of styles completely different than those I've mentioned. I've always had an eye for jewelry and a passion for design which led to a decision to take the leap and invest in my dream. My studio opened in 2007 in the Indian Orchard Mills and I'm busy creating and experimenting using a wide variety of mediums.
