Smoke on the Water is inspired by the hazy way the light is diffused through this rather distiguished tree. I was photographing this scene as the sun set behind it, and chose one and converted it to a true digital black and white image. This particular print really pops with the metallic coating to give it an even deeper appearance. The silver sheen is beautiful and is not depicted on any monitor.
