Biography
I grew up in California's great central valley where summers sizzle, winters are wet, and we take joy in our proximity to the Pacific beaches, redwood forests, and high Sierra mountains. I studied English in college when I discovered they would give me a degree for reading good literature and writing about it. I've been a news reporter, stay at home mom, and more years than any other an English teacher I've always loved art and close to twenty years ago a single class for teachers on how to use art to support other subject area awakened in me the desire to paint as much as possible. I started out wanting to paint nothing but trees in watercolor. I still like trees and watercolors, but both my subject matter and art media have diversified greatly.
