Primarily an oil painter, with the focus on light. I challenge myself with evaluating the nuances of color temperature and value. My choice of a monumental presentation of florals, also enables me to explore abstract possibilities.

Biography
My oil paintings reflect a keen interest in art, coupled with my love of nature. I have been concentrating on a close up view of florals, with enthusiasm for the way sunlight and shadows cast patterns on the petals and leaves. The qualities of light, color and form enable me to compose a realistic representation. Employing these characteristics, with emphasis on shape and a flowing line of design, creating contemporary realism becomes my visual adventure.
I have exhibited on regional and national levels, as well as in invitational shows. The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts selected my painting of Lavender Petunias for their 63rd annual exhibition. By invitation to exhibit at the annual Histortic Yellow Springs juried show for the past thirteen years. The Ridgewood Art Institute of NJ, Mid Atlantic juried exhibition, my Primrose painting was choosen,to name a few.
